Day 2. Ovacik to Faralya

Having  technical issues publishing posts so these posts are a little fragmented and out of order. On Monday, sept 12th, Day 2 was our first day on the Lycian way and it was a spectacular, tough walk rewarded with incredible views.

That's the beach where we were swimming on day 1. 

And we climbed and climbed for more than 2000 feet. 

We encountered only a handful of other walkers, Turkish people celebrating the Bayram holiday and all about 25 to 30 years younger than us. 

The climbing continued..

There were hundreds of beehives that looked like filing boxes scattered all over the mountain and whenever we stood still there was the sound of humming bees.

We have tasted the honey drizzled atop the delicious Turkish yoghurt for breakfast.

And there were goats

And a tea stop
